Iron Mountain Wins Award for Marketing Excellence

Honor recognizes company program that helps customers to better manage their records and meet compliance laws

BOSTON (Nov. 15, 2007) - Iron Mountain Incorporated (NYSE: IRM), the global leader in information protection and storage services, today announced award recognition for the launch of its Compliant Records Management Program, a suite of products and services that help customers manage records in an increasingly regulated environment. The program won a gold 2007 Marketing Excellence Award from the Information Technology Services Marketing Association (ITSMA) in the category of "Sharpening Brand and Competitive Differentiation."

Several laws and regulations enacted over the last decade require companies to follow strict rules for managing their records, leaving many companies struggling to achieve compliance. Under this increased governance, customers need more than just records storage; they need greater guidance and resources on managing records in a compliant manner. Iron Mountain identified this unmet need and used customer insights to develop its Compliant Records Management Program.

Launched in 2005, Iron Mountain's Compliant Records Management Program consists of six stages designed to promote consistency-the key success factor of compliant records management-and result in a program incorporating all the necessary policies, procedures and practices to comply with all applicable regulations. As a result, the Compliant Records Management Program provides customers better information access, lower storage costs, greater litigation responsiveness and compliance risk reduction.
